During the winter holidays, Tara Year 12 and Year 10 Geography students took an exciting tour of the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest!
The tour focused on investigating ecosystems at risk, aligning with the content in the HSC Geography course.
The girls had a marvelous time snorkeling the outer and inner reefs, assessing corals, visiting a turtle rehabilitation centre at Fitzroy Island, and walking the Mossman Gorge with an Indigenous guide where they learned all about traditional management. The girls also had the opportunity to stay a night in Cape Tribulation, amongst the world’s oldest rainforest.
