Congratulations to Year 10 students, Mila, Hannah, Evelyn, Hana, and Natalie winners of the Western Sydney BluePrint Competition.
Their business idea, the MED (Medical Emergency Device) Bracelet, is targeted to epileptic individuals.
The device flashes in the event of a seizure being detected, encouraging a first-responder/bystander to scan its QR Code to receive the individual’s health information and instructions on how to help them.
The girls named their team, ‘Sharks in Suits’ and they won $5,000 for Tara and $3,000 to share.
They also won the People’s Choice Award consisting of a package of Western Sydney Merchandise.
This statewide competition encourages students to pursue new business ideas via the resolution of a consumer problem.
The competition empowers students through business education and enrichment opportunities, and provides a first-hand experience in entrepreneurship.
We are so proud of you girls!
Congratulations to their Tara teachers, Mrs George, Head of Social Science and Mrs Liney, Social Science Teacher | Year 12 Coordinator.
