"I am proud to have led the department through the successful implementation of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program (MYP), instilling a focus on learning that encourages students to become creative, critical and reflective thinkers.
Creating new opportunities for Tara students is always exciting and has led to the formation of several new ensembles. It is rewarding to see the number of students in ensembles growing and the School now tours internationally every two years.
A highlight for me has also been helping other teachers when I was on the ABC Sing! Book committee which publishes a Song Book, Teachers Handbook and CD’s each year as a resource for schools around Australia.
Teaching and learning practices are foundational to engaging and supporting students in an inclusive learning environment and educating is much more than the passing of knowledge from one generation to the next. I am privileged to have the opportunity to contribute to shaping the whole person.”
