On the last day of the school year, Tara transformed into a festive wonderland as students from Kindergarten to Year 12 gathered to celebrate the spirit of Christmas and contribute to a noble cause. The Tara Christmas Markets, organised by the Senior School students and dedicated staff, not only filled the air with holiday joy but also raised an impressive sum of over $8,000 for World Vision.
The event was a testament to the creativity and community spirit that thrives within the Tara community. The markets featured a myriad of stalls curated by the Senior School students and staff, offering a diverse array of must-have items. From trendy tote bags to delectable sweet treats and Christmas goodies, the market catered to a wide range of tastes and preferences.
Adding to the festive spirit, some of Tara's talented students took centre stage to showcase excellent Christmas performances! The day was not only about shopping and performances but also included thrilling activities that brought the community together. Tug of war competitions infused an extra dose of excitement, while photo opportunities with Santa became cherished moments for students.
However, the true spirit of giving was reflected in the generous donations collected throughout the day. Over $8,000 was raised through the various activities and purchases made at the Christmas Markets. The funds collected will be donated to World Vision Australia, reinforcing Tara School's commitment to making a positive impact in the world.
