Congratulations to Phoebe (Year 12) for winning the 2022 Sheen Family Prize Performer of the Year with her performance of Transcendental Etude No.4 ‘Mazeppa’ by Franz Liszt on piano.
Kate (Year 12) was awarded second place with her vocal performance of I’d Give My Life For You from ‘Miss Saigon’ by Claude-Michel Schönberg and Annabelle (Year 10) awarded third place with her vocal performance of I Dreamed A Dream from ‘Les Miserables’ by Claude-Michel Schönberg.
Highly commended was awarded to Victoria (Year 11) who sang Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again from ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Mandy (Year 11) with her vocal performance of She Used To Be Mine from ‘Waitress’ by Sara Bareilles.
The Sheen Family Prize for Performer of the Year is generously donated by the Sheen Family to encourage and acknowledge excellence in musical performance.
The annual prestigious event features elite Tara musicians from Years 10 to 12, who showcase incredible performances, highlighting their years of dedicated training and practice.
Congratulations to the other finalists on their outstanding performances - Alisha (Year 11), Jina (Year 11), Jean (Year 12), Ashley (Year 11), Emily (Year 12), Suzie (Year 11) and Hannah (Year 11).
