Last holidays Year 9 students, Katherine, Ashley and Angelique participated in a competition run by Generation Entrepreneur called ‘Girls in Business’.
They met every day for a week via Zoom to create a business with the theme of ‘Female Empowerment’.
The girls presented a live pitch in front of the CEO of Finder addressing the issues of sexual harassment. Their solution was an App with awareness pages, and a platform where women can go to speak out about their experiences or seek help.
They also created a product called the ‘Angel Bracelet’ which sends a signal to emergency services if a woman faces a dangerous or uncomfortable situation.
We are so proud the girls worked on such an important initiative.
Katherine, Ashley and Angelique won the competition, winning a cash prize of $200 and merchandise.
Congratulations to our entrepreneurs of the future.
