Congratulations to Hannah, Class of 2023, for receiving a prestigious scholarship from the Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering (ATSE) through their Elevate scholarship program. This accomplishment not only highlights her commitment but also acknowledges her exceptional potential in the STEM field.
The Elevate Program, a key initiative by ATSE, was established to address gender disparities in STEM. It aims to bridge this gap by fostering meaningful collaborations between industry and academia, enhancing the professional skills of women in STEM, and propelling them into leadership positions.
As part of the program, undergraduate scholars like Hannah receive significant support, including a $30,000 financial grant over three years. This is complemented by exclusive access to various events and networking opportunities, personalised mentoring, and continuous support throughout their university journey.
In only its second year since inception in 2022, the Elevate Program has already made significant progress in empowering women in STEM fields. This year, we are pleased to announce that the program has secured funding from the Department of Industry, Science, and Resources (DISR), with additional support from Defence Australia, further reinforcing its commitment to promoting diversity in STEM.
Expressing her gratitude, Hannah shares, "I am overjoyed to have been awarded this scholarship and motivated to continue contributing to the field of STEM. It is a tremendous honour and I'm eager to embrace this valuable opportunity. My sincere thanks to all my teachers for the ongoing support that inspire and fuel my passion for learning."
Hannah's success not only showcases her individual achievements but also underscores the collective efforts of our academic community in nurturing talent and creating an environment where everyone can thrive.
Once again, congratulations Hannah! Your accomplishments fill us with pride, and we eagerly anticipate the remarkable heights you will achieve in your STEM journey.
