Earlier this month, Years 10, 11 and 12 had a visit from 2017 NSW Australian of the Year, Deng Adut.
Originally from South Sudan, Deng Adut was forced to become a child soldier at the age of 6. After being smuggled out of the country, Deng arrived in Australia as a refugee at the age of 14. Since then, he has gone on to study accountancy and law and has started his own criminal law firm.
Deng's story of resilience is truly inspiring. Thank you Deng for sharing your journey with us and reminding us to make the most of every opportunity.
