Tara Anglican School for Girls is proud to celebrate the exceptional achievements of our Year 12 students in the Class of 2024, who have been nominated for their outstanding HSC major works for possible inclusion in both the ENCORE and SHAPE showcases.
A huge congratulations to Annabelle, Class of 2024, for receiving an ENCORE nomination for her HSC Music 1 performance!
ENCORE presents a selection of outstanding major works by HSC Music students in NSW including performance and musicology. Annabelle’s nomination places her among the best, and we are thrilled that her hard work and talent have been recognised. She now awaits the possibility of performing at the prestigious ENCORE concert, which will take place in February 2025.
The Tara community couldn’t be prouder of Annabelle’s accomplishment and we look forward to seeing her continue to inspire others with her musical journey.
We are equally proud to congratulate Zali, Inika, and Sophia, Class of 2024, for receiving nominations for consideration in the SHAPE Exhibition. SHAPE features a curated selection of outstanding HSC major projects from Design and Technology, Industrial Technology, and Textiles and Design.
Zali received an incredible two SHAPE nominations for both Industrial Technology and Design and Technology. Her Industrial Technology project, 'Cat Woods', is a delightful children’s short film that captures a cat’s pursuit of a butterfly, showcasing the beauty of the natural environment. Zali’s Design and Technology project, 'Animated Tutorial on How to Care for Birds', is an engaging and informative guide aimed at helping new bird owners understand the essentials of bird care.
Inika’s nomination for her Industrial Technology project, 'Comparison – The Thief of Joy!', is a powerful short film that uses a futuristic setting to highlight the harmful effects of unrealistic beauty standards on young people.
Sophia’s project, 'Scrapbook Adventures', takes viewers on a visual journey through Tasmania, brought to life through 3D animated scrapbook scenes, VFX, and stop-motion techniques. Her creativity and innovation have earned her a well-deserved nomination.
These outstanding projects reflect the dedication, creativity, and hard work of our students, and the Tara community is incredibly proud of their success.
